A dolphin has been found dead on the Mumbai coast, the second such incident in 10 days, a municipal official said today.

The dolphin was found on the coast near NCPA at Nariman Point on Monday night, an official of Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) said.

Passers-by located the dolphin at 8 PM on Monday, after which the BMC disaster control management, forest department and civic bodies were informed.

The dolphin was removed yesterday by the forest department after which a post mortem was conducted.

On April 20, the carcass of a 10-feet-long humpback dolphin washed ashore at Marine Drive.
