Actor Varun Dhawan turned 28 on Friday to a stream of wishes from celebrity friends on Twitter. The star of 'Badlapur' and the upcoming 'ABCD 2' was wished by everyone from his first director Karan Johar (who launched him in 'Student Of The Year' in 2012) to close friend Arjun Kapoor.

But what seemed to excite the young actor the most was a gift he received from a person he refused to name — a pair of bright yellow sneakers.

Those bright yellow sneakers which he refers to as "#pharrells" are from a new line of shoes created by Adidas Originals in collaboration with Grammy-winning hitmaker Pharrell Williams, whose 2014 song 'Happy' has become one of the best-selling singles of all time. A new line of '80s-inspired footwear, these shoes — available in 50 colours — have been available only since March 27. They are not yet available in India.
