Farmer Suicide At AAP Kisan Rally Starts Political Blame Game

A farmer's suicide at the AAP rally organised Wednesday to protest the land acquisition bill has seen a blame game being played by spokespersons at BJP, Congress and AAP.

Gajender Singh Rajput, a farmer from Dausa district was declared dead at the Ram Manohar Lohia hospital in New Delhi. Here are some of the sharpest reactions to this incident on Twitter, which made #AAPKisanRally the top trending topic in India.

Sambit Patra, national spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party told ANI that it was a conspiracy by Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, and that as a doctor, he knew the pain Rajput would have faced when he committed suicide.

Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay blamed AAP workers for helping Rajput climb the tree.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Somnath Bharti deleted his tweet after Twitter pounced on him for calling it a well thought conspiracy.

AAP spokesperson Ashutosh remarked that he would tell Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal to climb the tree.
