After a disgruntled party member asked that the blue Wagon R car he donated to the Aam Aadmi Party and made famous due to its use chief minister Arvind Kejriwal be returned, another member has come up now, claiming that he owns the rights to the party's logo and he doesn't want Delhi's ruling party to use it any longer.

Designed in orange and grey, the AAP logo features the party's initials in the two colours, with a white streak in the middle.

AAP volunteer and Lucknow-based advertising professional Sunil Lal, who claims to have designed the AAP logo, has asked the party to stop using his "intellectual property" on any political handbills, websites, flags, posters and stationary.

Expressing himself in an open letter addressed to Kejriwal, Lal on Wednesday forwarded the same letter to the party's official email address.

"The logo that I designed for AAP is my intellectual property. I never transferred its rights to the party. Hence, I want you to stop using the same from immediate effect," wrote Lal in the letter.

"I had designed the logo in good faith, and now I don't want to see your politicians playing games against its backdrop," Lal added.

"Disillusioned", Lal has also asked AAP to accept his resignation as a primary member.

Upset over the ongoing turmoil in the party, an AAP supporter who had donated a Blue Wagon R to Kejriwal in January 2013, on Monday demanded that it be returned.

Kundan Sharma, a software engineer, who expressed his disappointment over the removal of party leaders Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav, however later said that his tweet demanding the car back was a "ploy" to catch the attention of the party chief.

HuffPost India has reached out to Lal for a comment and is awaiting his response. AAP spokesperson Ashutosh has not responded to a request for comment.
