Lenovo A7000 Debuts As Flipkart Exclusive, Retails At Rs. 8,999

Lenovo India announced the launch of the A7000 today exclusively with Flipkart. Registrations for the smartphone, which was introduced in MWC 2015 start today, the device will retail for Rs. 8,999 when it goes on sale on 15th April.

The dual-SIM 4G LTE smartphone sports a 64-bit 1.5 GHz octa-core processor from Mediatek, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, and an MicroSD expansion slot that fits 32 GB cards. The phone features a 5.5-inch (1280x720) HD display, it’s also the first smartphone to feature Dolby Atmos technology.

Weighing in at 140 grams, the A7000 has a 2900mAh battery and is just 7.9 mm thick. The smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, and has a 8 megapixel rear camera (with a Sony IMX219 Sensor) and a 5 megapixel secondary camera. The A7000 supports USB OTG, and will be available in two colours - Onyx Black and Pearl White.

The Lenovo A7000 will compete against the Redmi Note and Yu Yureka at its price range, apart from a spate of 4G LTE phones that are fighting it out in the sub-10,000 rupee entry-level smartphone segment.
