Video: Giant Pandas Mate Successfully At A Chinese Research Centre

The entire world is talking about this video, and there's a good reason. Female pandas have the narrowest window of opportunity for successful procreation as they are only fertile for a period of 36 hours in the spring.

The latest viral sensation, therefore, is this video of giant pandas Yi Bao and Jin Xin, who are the first pair to mate naturally at the Bifengxia Panda Base in Ya’an City this year, according to a report on Yahoo!

However, according to ShanghaiList.com, this couple doesn't have a patch on two Sichuan pandas — Lu Lu (male) and Zhen Zhen (female) — who mated for a grand total of seven minutes and 45 seconds, far longer than these pandas (who could only manage one minute and 20 seconds).

Yep, this is what things have come to.
