HP Unveils New Line-up Of Business Mobility Devices

NEW DELHI — HP unveiled eight new mobile devices today that cater to businesses. The new lineup, which includes tablets, 2-in-1 devices, and notebook PCs, aims to help professionals and businesses be more productive.

“Our devices feature built-in security, manageability, and durability packaged in innovative stylish designs that end users crave," said Ketan Patel, director of computing category at the printing and personal systems division of HP India.

The line-up of devices includes the EliteBook Folio 1020, the thinnest and lightest business class notebook, with a starting price of Rs90,000 and the HP Pro Slate 8 and HP Pro Slate 12, 8 and 12-inch Android tablets priced at 33,000 and 41,500, respectively.

The HP Pro Slate and Pro Slate 12 are HD commercial grade Android tablets powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series processors. The tablets are one of the first to feature Corning Gorilla Glass 4, and support HP Duet Pen, which helps users write and digitize input from the device's screen.

The EliteBook 1020 features a 12.5-inch QuadHD display, fanless design and solid state storage, pre-boot authentication, fingerprint reader, and come with optional Intel vPro technology for easy deployment in an enterprise environment.

HP also introduced a special edition of the EliteNook 1020, which uses a magnesium-lithium alloy and carbon fiber to reduce the device weight by 200 grams.

"The EliteBook 1020 represents game-changing innovation in materials and mechanical engineering," said Rajiv Srivastava, vice president and general manager at the printing and personal systems division at HP India.

Other notable devices launched at the event included the HP Elite x2 1011 G1, a 2-in-1 Windows device, the HP Pro Tablet 10 EE, HP Pro Slate 10 EE,HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Healthcare Tablet, and the HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Rugged Tablet.
