Is that the weirdest headline ever or is that the weirdest headline ever?
In Salman Khan's upcoming film, 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo', the star will be part of a 13-minute-long song — by all accounts, the longest ever song to be featured in a Bollywood film. Yes, even longer than this seemingly never-ending antakshari sequence in 'Hum Aapke Hain Koun'. Incidentally, both films share the same director: Sooraj Barjatya.
In an interview to DNA, choreographer Ahmed Khan revealed that the song shall feature Khan playing — wait for it — football at a wedding ceremony.
Elaborating upon the details, Khan told DNA: "He [Khan] has danced in the song in a different attire altogether. He will be dancing in kurta and pyjamas and the entire feel and vibe of the song is totally different. There's a unique magic to the number." This 13-minute magnum opus has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
According to further details, the song will be an emotional one and will play at a pivotal point in the movie. Given Barjatya's track record of emotional manipulation and family sports (remember the cricket match sequence in HAHK?), this song does sound like the next logical step in his career.
