BANGALORE — The Karnataka High Court on Sunday stayed the submission of an interim report by the state CID in connection with the death of IAS officer DK Ravi.
However, the High Court has permitted the investigations to continue.

Ravi, who took on the sand mafia in Karnataka's Kolar District, was an Additional Commissioner on deputation with the Commercial Tax department. He was found hanging from a ceiling fan in his house by his wife on Monday.
His death has resulted in widespread protests all over Karnataka, with politically parties, predominantly the Bharatiya Janata Party, calling for a CBI investigation into the same.
However, Siddaramiah has said that the Bengaluru City Police is capable of investigating the case and expressed his faith in the state CID.
Bengaluru Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi also pointed out that forensic and medical evidence had hinted that Ravi's death was prima facie a case of suicide. He added that a thorough investigation was on and warned against jumping to any conclusion.
