MATHURA, Uttar Pradesh — Madhya Pradesh Finance Minister Jayant Malaiya and his wife were robbed on board the Jabalpur-Nizamuddin Express train near Mathura on Thursday.

According to reports, armed miscreants entered the AC compartment of the train between the Kosikalan and Vallabhgarh stations and looted the minister and his family, stealing gold chains, rings and cash.

Three Railway Protection Force personnel, who were escorting the train, have been suspended in connection with the issue.

The Delhi police have filed a Zero FIR at Nizamuddin in the case.
