MUMBAI — Director Navdeep Singh, whose film NH10 stars only one commercially popular Hindi actor, Anushka Sharma, says unfamiliar faces add to the realistic feel in a movie.

The film, which releases on March 13, also features actor Neil Bhoopalam and Darshan Kumar, but they are relative unknowns as compared to the Band Baaja Baaraat actress.

Asked why he didn't cast any top-rated actors for NH10 apart from Anushka Sharma, Singh said: "It was not a deliberate choice, but I feel the more we keep the characters real and unfamiliar, the more the film will look real.

"If you have unknown characters people forget that they are actors and you get the reality impact. Unfamiliar and unknown faces make the film look real."

The movie is a thriller, co-produced by Phantom Films and Eros International. This is Anushka Sharma's debut production venture and it also stars Neil Bhoopalam.
