Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi has launched its Yi Action Camera, a GoPro competitor in China that costs just $64 (less than Rs4,000), half the price of the entry-level GoPro Hero.

Weighting just 72 grams, the Yi’s 16-megapixel camera uses Sony’s Exmor R BSI CMOS image sensor that can shoot 1080p video at 60 fps, and 720p at 120 fps. The Yi supports microSD cards of up to 64 GB and supports WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity.

The camera comes in two versions — the basic version bundles with batteries and a charging cable, while the $80 travel version bundles an additional selfie stick.

The device is only available in China at the moment, we’ve reached out to Xiaomi to know more about its launch in India.
