Delhi neighbourhoods were abuzz with political activity this morning, as citizens lined up in large numbers to cast their vote. Schools were converted to polling booths, police and security forces were stationed around them to regulate the crowds.

Voter turnout till 1 pm was around 36 percent according to TV reports, as Delhi citizens donned their political caps and took over the streets. Here's a glimpse of the action that captures the political atmosphere in the streets and polling booths near New Ashok Nagar, Mayur Vihar, Trilok Puri, Pandav Nagar, Krishna Puri, Mandavali, and Durgapuri.
