Microsoft Cuts Xbox 360 Price, 500GB Model Launched In India

Microsoft announced price cuts on the Xbox 360 in India, and introduced the 500 GB model at Rs 19,990 today. The launch comes with a special bundle that includes two games - Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Call of Duty: Ghosts, and a One-month Xbox Live Gold membership. The 500 GB bundle ships with a Xbox 360 headset along with other standard accessories.

The gaming console now has a starting price of 12,900 for the 4GB standalone model, a price cut of Rs 3,000. The 4GB Xbox 360 with Kinect bundle costs Rs 21,900, a price cut of Rs 5,000, and the 250GB Xbox 360 with Kinect bundle costs Rs 29,990, a price cut of Rs 2,000.

In comparison, the entry-level PlayStation 3 starts at Rs 16,990 for the 12 GB version, and goes up to Rs 22,900 for the 500 GB version. The Xbox One starts at 39,900 and the Playstation 4 starts at 38,990.

Introduced in late 2005, the Xbox 360 was released in India in September 2006.
