Confirming what rumours had said over the last few weeks, Xiaomi India has launched the Mi4 smartphone in India for Rs 19,999. The first flash sale for the smartphone will be on Feb 10th, and registrations for the same will go live at 6PM today.

Xiaomi launched the Mi4 in July last year, but wasn’t available in India until now. Notable specs of the Mi4 include a 5-inch IPS display with Corning OGS Glass, and a 3080 mAh quick charging battery. The Mi4 is powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processorm,3GB RAM and has 16 GB of flash storage. It comes with an 8MP front camera, and a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, Sony IMX214 BSI sensor and 4K video recording.

The OS is a modified version of Android KitKat operating system with a layer of the MIUI OS skin. Xiaomi announced that the Mi 4 will come loaded with their latest OS - MIUI 6, which was released on 9th January this month. The new OS version brings customisable notifications, icons, security options, and new themes.

According to the launch press release, the Mi 4 will be supported by Mi India’s 66+ service centres, including five exclusive Mi service centres in Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Cochin.
