Cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan's remarriage to a 41-year-old former BBC weather reporter has caused a significant stir around the globe.

The 62-year-old initially denied his marriage, even tweeting out that the reports of his marriage were greatly exaggerated.

However, according to a report inThe Daily Mail, Khan confirmed last night that he has secretly married Reham Khan, a divorced mother of three. According to the report, Khan told reporters last night at the Heathrow airport: "I am going to Pakistan to share good news about my marriage with the nation. I have nothing to hide."

Last year in October, Khan's ex-wife Jemima Goldsmith (the couple divorced in 2004) said that she was dropping her marital surname for her maiden name, because Khan intended to get married again, according to NDTV. A family friend said Khan's relatives, including his sisters, were against the marriage and were surprised he went ahead.

Meanwhile, Reham has been facing a lot of heat from critics in Pakistan after news of the union broke, acccording to the Daily Mail.
