Actress and fashionista Sonam Kapoor has always delivered a sweeping statement, be it on the sets of her film, at the Cannes Film Festival, or at fashion weeks. Kapoor's latest film, "Dolly Ki Doli" promises to deliver the usual hype surrounding the actress's trendy wardrobe, but with a stronger focus on wedding wear, given the theme.

Potential brides around the country scouting for the perfect trousseau might not want to give this a miss -- the movie centres around different weddings where the bride, Dolly (Kapoor's character), a young con artist marries men from different religions and runs away with their wealth. Kapoor in reality, seems happy to stay single: “There is lot of time for that…I am single and very happy. I think I am very confused. I don’t know what kind of a guy I need,” she said in an interview conducted by Indian Express.

A majority of Kapoor's wedding attire for the movie has been designed by an upcoming Delhi-based label, MadSamTinZin. "The stylist, Karuna, saw our stuff at Pernia's PopUp Shop, and contacted us for a few of the looks she had seen on the website," reveals Tina Bharadwaj, who makes up a fourth of the brand (Madhuritu, Saumya and Stanzin are the other partners). "Our signatures are understated work and minimalist embroidery, and as an ebullient bride in the movie, Kapoor owned her outfits rather than the other way around!"

Kapoor is seen wearing a stylish overgarment and printed slip in the movie, in addition to a patiala set for a Punjabi wedding, a pair of shararas for a Muslim wedding, and the ubiquitous anarkali, all from MadSamTinZin (MSTZ). The designer's favourite look on her is the overgarment: "It looked the most fabulous on her, also she seemed really comfortable in that look, and has carried it with great debonair," says Bharadwaj. "The shararas and lowers had to be reconstructed because of her height."

Kapoor's "Dolly Ki Doli" ensembles are available at the MSTZ store in Shahpur Jat, New Delhi priced anywhere between Rs 28,500 to Rs 1,10,000. The MSTZ designers also prepare for Lakme's Fashion Week next year in addition to Monica Dogra's costumes in her movie 'Hai Dil'.

"Dolly Ki Doli" is a rom-com feature produced by actor Arbaaz Khan under his production house Arbaaz Khan Productions. It is directed by debutant Abhishek Dogra, and stars Sonam Kapoor along with Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, along with guest appearances by Saif Ali Khan and Malaika Arora Khan.

The film's trailer was unveiled on Malaika's and Arbaaz's anniversary last December, and is expected to release on January 23, 2015.
