Gold Prices Fall Amid Weak Global Trends

NEW DELHI: Gold prices on Thursday fell by Rs 28 to Rs 26,675 per ten grams in futures trade amid weak global trends.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the February contract of gold fell by Rs 28, or 0.10 per cent, to Rs 26,675 per ten grams in business turnover of 71 lots.

The far-month April contract shed Rs 18, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 26,950 per ten grams.

Analysts attributed the fall in gold futures to weak global trends.

Gold fell 1.42 per cent to USD 1,182.90 an ounce in New York on Wednesday.
