After the big round of Diwali sales by e-commerce websites such as FlipKart and SnapDeal, the Google Online Shopping Festival is here, offering discounts across a range of online merchants.

The annual shopping event that began in 2012 has grown in size this year, with 400 partners signing up, up from 90 last year, in a reflection of how rapidly online shopping is catching up. “In the last few weeks, over 5 million users have visited,” said Google India managing director Rajan Anandan.

The festival is vast and there are discounts to be availed across several websites and merchants. But here are a few main areas you could begin exploring.

The 299 plan: In this category, a lot of products are available for Rs299 including free home delivery through Amazon, Ebay, Yepme,Snapdeal, Lenskart, Jabong, and several other shopping sites. Brands available within this plan range from Phillips to Reebok, British Airways, Sony and Lenovo, among others (although Flipkart has chosen not to participate this year).

Another addition to the exclusive launches is Van Heusen’s ‘Stellar Collection’ that offers five dresses from the classic LBD in peplum style to pastel coloured apparel.

Tech goodies: The Google Chromecast (priced at Rs 2,999), a streaming media device, has been launched on GOSF’s platform. It jostles for space with Motorola’s much-hyped Nexus 6that is priced at Rs43,999 for 32GB and Rs48,999 for 64GB. It features the Android 5.0 Lollipop as well as a round-the-clock 3220mAh and a turbo charger that provides an additional 6 hours of battery. Also available is Lenovo’s second variant of the Yoga Tablet.

Home décor: Add some signature styles to your walls with Asian Paint’s re-pastable stickers as part of the 1,000 Weeks Celebration of DDLJ by Nilaya. Tata Value Homes is also offering apartments bookable with Rs20,000 and priced at Rs 16 lakh in Boisar, Mumbai, an upcoming suburb, as well The Cascades, an uber-luxury apartment complex in Bengaluru as well as others across Ahmedabad, Bhubaneshwar and Kolkata.
